ASSEMBLY
Listed below are the 3 easy steps to assemble the Egg Bird Feeder. |
STEP 1
Turn the egg upside down and fill with bird food. |

STEP 2
Position the base upside down in the center of the egg and line up the upper holes on the exterior of the egg with the upper holes on the interior of the base. Insert aluminum poles through the egg and base - one pole through the upper holes and one through the lower holes. |

STEP 3
Line up the holes in the aluminum poles and insert the hitch pin through the holes to secure the base in place. Turn the Egg Bird Feeder over and hang. |

Easy to Use - The gravity fed Egg Bird Feeder is easy to use. The ceramic earthenware egg is suspended by a vinyl coated wire. The egg supports two aluminum poles that suspend the aluminum base in the center of the egg's bottom opening. Bird food dispenses from the egg into the base and birds eat from the base until the egg is empty. To fill with bird seed you turn the Egg Bird Feeder upside down and take out a pin in the middle of the base, remove the poles and dish, and fill. The feeder holds eight cups of bird food.
Beautiful & Durable - The beautifully finished glossy ceramic earthenware egg and aluminum assembly are perfect for the extremes of outdoor weather. The ceramic egg's durable finish will withstand yearlong temperature extremes. The aluminum base, poles and vinyl coated hanging wire are rust resistant. The base has four small drainage holes to prevent water accumulation in bird food.
Gray Squirrel Proof - The glossy ceramic egg shaped surface of the Egg Bird Feeder deters gray squirrels. Gray squirrels will not be able to eat from the feeder if it is hung at least three feet away from surrounding surfaces. Squirrels simply can't hold onto the surface of the egg and the base is not large enough to support them.
Care - Wipe clean ceramic and aluminum surfaces with a damp cloth. Once a month we recommend cleaning the feeder with a 10% bleach to water solution. Allow the solution to set on the feeder for ten minutes, drain off the solution, and then rinse thoroughly. Allow the feeder to completely dry before refilling it. If a feeder becomes moldy, scrub it thoroughly with the 10% bleach to water solution using a stiff brush. Once it is clean, clean the feeder as above. If you live in an area that freezes please make sure the interior of the Egg Bird Feeder remains dry during the critical times of year when it freezes and thaws. Damage to the egg may occur during the freeze/thaw cycles if the interior is wet.
